So, why these subjects? I live in the UK and my family lives in the USA. The natural world and gardening are two of my passions. So that's easy. What about the rest? Throughout most of my working life I was an archaeologist. Relationships between humans and horses were my special area of interest. Central Eurasia and East Asia my main geographical foci. But more to the point, travel and photography provide me with opportunities to explore new perspectives, new worlds, underlying commonalities, as well as the processes and consequences of change.
