It is the ambition of every plant and animal that comes into a garden to feed, to reproduce (if possible), to grow and generally to prosper. The garden changes as it develops - with the passage of time, with the weather, with the care given it. Sometimes I think that my garden positively intends to give pleasure and other times that it is certainly angry at me.
