A Cambridge Garden (UK)
Grey Squirrel in a Cambridge garden
Ref: 141012-6292 Date: 12-10-2014
This wet legged Grey Squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis) is using a fence between gardens in Cambridge as a convenient highway between trees. Squirrel acrobatics are very entertaining. However, for some people they are unwelcome immigrants, having been introduced from North America. The earliest record in the UK dates from the 1820s and they were first released into the wild in 1876.
