Suzhou Market Street (Suzhoujie) at the Summer Palace (Yiheyuan) is a about 12 km northwest of Beijing city centre. The Summer Palace was first built during the 18th century, rebuilt during the late 19th century, destroyed by the Anglo-French expedition in 1900 in revenge for the Boxer Rebellion, rebuilt again etc. The Suzhou Market Street was built during the reign of Emperor Qianlong (1711-1799).
