Shamanskiy Mys, an ancient sacred place, Lake Baikal

Shamanskiy Mys (Cape Burkhan) is an ancient necropolis on Ol'khon Island in Lake Baikal. The graves date from the 5th to the 2nd millennia BC (Neolithic to Bronze Age). The cape is, even today, a sacred place for Buryat shamanism.
