This is a detail of Fountaine Cuvier, on the corner of Rue Linné and Rue Cuvier in the Latin Quarter, Paris. it was built in 1840. The architect was Alphonse Vigoureux and the sculptors, Jean-Jacques Feuchère and René-Jules Pomateau . It was constructed in honour of the great naturalist, Georges Cuvier.
