This is an aerial photograph of Andreevskoe, a fortified Sintashta-Arkaim culture settlement. The site is located east of the Ural Mts and is dated to the Middle Bronze Age (circa 18th century BC). The outline of the site is almost invisible from the ground, but clear from the air. Scale is provided by the utility poles. The photo was taken from a Russian military heliocopter.
